My MD sound recording, “People’s Park Complex: an Urban Soundbox in Singapore” (please see Discography), was “discovered” by Hans Ulrich Obrist who was curating a show called “Sonic City” jointly with Rem Koolhaas, Sanford Kwinter and Atelier Bow-Wow collectively known as “Mutations” and to be convened in Tokyo’s TN Probe Gallery. This was the first time my “work” was exhibited overseas, but regrettably I was not able to attend the opening ceremony. The sound track was “displayed” with a short write-up and photographs of People’s Park Complex, alongside other sonic works by Yoko Ono and Kim Sooja.
